New feature: writing in periods

A much asked for feature has been added to Tom's Planner! From now on, along with adding comments to periods you can also write in the periods themselves. You can add text by standing on a period bar and enter the text in the text field of the right click context menu.

Tom's Planner is coming out of Beta

We are happy to announce that on Sunday the 29th Tom's Planner will officially launch!

We will be applying the Freemium model to the pricing structure by introducing a free version and two paid versions with extra functiona- lities. Details on the upcoming pricing and account types can found here (a screenshot of the new pricing page that we'll add to the Tom's Planner website next week)

The offer for a one-year free beta account for all new Tom's Planner users is only available until August 29, so there is just one week left to sign up for one of those precious free beta accounts.

Timeline settings

You can very easily adjust the settings of the timeline in the chart area by right clicking on the blue timeline and selecting 'timeline settings'. You can plan projects with a 5, 10 or 15 minute grid or if your project covers a longer period of time choose a day, week or month grid.

If you are working on a large project schedule, you don't need to scroll along the timeline every time. To help you be more efficient and save your some time you can right-click the blue timeline and select scroll to 'end/ beginning schedule' or scroll to today.
